Alejandro Barraza

A central part of Mr. Barraza’s practice is his dedication to mental health awareness and rehabilitation-focused advocacy. He recognizes that many individuals within the criminal justice system struggle with untreated trauma, mental illness, or substance use disorders. Rather than viewing these challenges as labels, he views them as context,  and as opportunities for intervention and recovery.

Mr. Barraza works diligently to:

• Advocate for diversion programs and treatment-based alternatives
• Connect clients with rehabilitative resources and mental health services
• Present mitigating evidence that highlights a client’s humanity
• Fight for outcomes that promote healing instead of purely punitive consequences

He believes the justice system should not only punish wrongdoing, but also recognize when treatment, structure, and support can lead to meaningful change. His advocacy reflects a broader commitment to dignity, second chances, and long-term rehabilitation.

In addition to criminal defense, Mr. Barraza guides individuals through the complex and ever-changing U.S. immigration system. He represents clients seeking lawful status through:

• Other humanitarian and family-based pathways

Before co-founding the firm, Mr. Barraza gained invaluable courtroom experience working in multiple Public Defender’s Offices in Southern California, including the Riverside County Public Defender’s Office.

He later served as a conflict panel attorney, representing  clients in serious criminal matters. This experience shaped his client-centered philosophy and strengthened his ability to handle high-pressure cases with preparation and resilience.

Mr. Barraza has remained actively involved in the Inland Empire legal community since the beginning of his career. His leadership roles include service on:

• Beyond the legal profession, Mr. Barraza is completing his first year with Riverside County Project Graduate, a collaborative program with the Riverside Superior Court and Riverside County Department of Public Social Services that supports foster youth in graduating high school, pursuing higher education, and building successful futures.

Alejandro was raised in Anaheim, California. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, and giving back to the community. He is a loyal Angels fan and remains hopeful each season for a dominant pitching rotation.
